The work of Bregje Horsten is never the same. For her work on the representation of the body and 'the feminine' in our society, she worked with living materials, under which the work is constantly changing. By taking shapes from, for example, her breasts and mouth, parts of the body that are often censored, and growing them back on a cast of her own body, she makes visible parts of the body that are normally hidden from the outside world.
